EU Day Celebrations

May was a vibrant month of collaboration, dialogue, and community engagement for the EU Food Safety Project in Cyprus!

On 8 May, we proudly joined the celebrations for Europe Day, marking the 20th anniversary of the European Union’s presence in the Turkish Cypriot community. The occasion brought together EU-funded projects, stakeholders, and communities in a joyful atmosphere of unity and cooperation.

As part of the celebrations, the EU Food Safety Project welcomed visitors at its dedicated stand, where we shared our guidelines, introduced ongoing activities, and engaged in meaningful discussions on food safety awareness in Cyprus.

Through informative brochures, expert advice, and friendly conversations, we highlighted the vital role food safety plays in protecting public health and supporting cross-community collaboration.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited our stand — together, we are building a safer and healthier future for all!

Beyond Europe Day, May also featured several important outside-office engagements organised alongside fellow EU projects including the EU Forum.

These events provided valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and continue fostering cooperation across communities.
