In June 2025, the EU Food Safety Project, in cooperation with the Animal Breeders Union, successfully organised three training sessions on animal health, farm hygiene, and biosecurity. These events brought together animal breeders from across the Turkish Cypriot community. The sessions focused on improving practices related to disease prevention, early detection, and the responsible use of veterinary medicines, while also emphasising the importance of farm hygiene and biosecurity measures. Participants engaged actively in the discussions, and each session concluded with the distribution of certificates.
These trainings are part of a broader effort to promote safer food production, healthier livestock, and stronger public health practices across the region.
