Strengthening Food Safety for Olives and Olive Oil

Protecting public health and ensuring that consumers can trust the food they buy requires good coordination and clear ways of working. Under the EU Food Safety Project (EU FSP), efforts are underway to support teams responsible for food-related checks work more consistently and efficiently.


One important focus area is olive and olive oil. These products play a central role in daily diets, which makes effective checks especially important for safeguarding consumer health.

To support this work, the EU FSP has delivered specialised training for the beneficiaries involved in olive and olive oil checks. The sessions covered practical steps for applying common approaches and make the process clearer for everyone.
