Since August 2025, work has been underway to develop ranking schemes and related procedures for commercial dairy and meat establishments, as well as other relevant operators. EU Food Safety Project (EU FSP) experts are supporting stakeholders in applying these new approaches, helping ensure that food businesses are properly ranked and assessed for their compliance with animal health and food safety (SPS) standards.
Together with stakeholders, the experts are also assisting in the development or improvement of the register of food establishments — ensuring that records are accurate, up to date, and meet current needs.
These efforts will contribute to greater transparency, better data, and stronger collaboration across the food sector in the TCc.
