16th Steering Committee Meeting Highlights Continued Commitment And Collaboration

The 16th Steering Committee Meeting of the EU FSP took place in July 2025, bringing together key stakeholders to assess progress and define upcoming priorities for advancing food safety and animal health in the TCc.

Discussions focused on sustained capacity-building for food business operators, implementation of control measures, and support for PDO-related activities. Updates included the completion of residue and contaminant monitoring, continued checks and progress on monitoring of PDO raw milk.

Stakeholders agreed on concrete next steps, including a dedicated meeting to address feed safety and enhanced collaboration.

The meeting also addressed challenges related to farm categorisation and human resource sustainability, both of which are considered vital to long-term success and future EU support.

Stakeholders also reaffirmed their commitment to making timely progress, enhancing coordination, and being ready for upcoming activities, including further training, HACCP assessments, and FBO outreach.
